The Kingdom of Ise’themnar lies far to the east and controls the lands around and throughout the great forest known as the Silverwood Forest. In Silverwood, there are trees that are as wide as ten men abreast and as tall as many temples and towers in Caerdania and all around them flora and fauna that grows in abundance alongside the many woodland beasts that dwell here with the elves. There is a strange power that permeates the Silverwood. It is said that those entering the forest with ill intent will lose their way, that the light of the sun or moon will not shine through the dense green canopy for such a soul. Many a man, dwarf, and orc has lost their way in the thick forest of Silverwood and the lucky few who find their way to one of the cities or villages may find themselves standing at the ends of elven spears and arrows.
Ise’themnar values its privacy, it is said, but are not outright hostile toward strangers who travel with good intentions. They closely guard the power that makes the Silverwood thrive as it has for millennia and restrict passage to certain larger cities so that the “purity” of the smaller, more remote villages and temples remains untainted. The mistake many a traveler makes when entering the Silverwood is to wander away from the Road: a clear path meant to guide outsiders to the city of Gon’litharien, which stands as the bulwark between the deeper Silverwood and the outside world.
